1 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
1 1/4 cups milk

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk & egg. mix all ingredients until smooth. Heat an oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown slightly on both sides and serve hot with powdered sugar or syrup. You can add chocolate chips or fresh fruit to the batter for some tasty variations!
