BBQ Pastrami Wrapped Asparagus

Everyone loves bacon and although I’ve never tasted it, all the photos of it baked, cooked, and grilled always look incredible. After seeing a mouthwatering shot of bacon-wrapped asparagus, I decided I wanted my version too! Since it’s Kosher in the Kitch and bacon is pretty much the biggest no-no in the book for us kosher folks, I swapped it out for some good ol’ tasty pastrami instead and it was finger licking good!
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch asparagus (about 16 spears)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- ½ lb pastrami

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Wash and trim the tough ends off the asparagus.
- Brush both sides of each pastrami slice with BBQ sauce.
- Wrap one slice of pastrami around each asparagus spear.
- Place wrapped asparagus on a lightly greased baking sheet.
- Brush once more with BBQ sauce.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the pastrami edges are slightly crisp.

This looks delicious! Do you think I can make it with frozen long stem broccoli instead of asparagus?
Yes! That would taste great!
