Easy 3 ingredient upside down apple pastries. This super simple dessert is perfect for Rosh HAshanah! You can purachse the wildflower honey directly from UJA gift shop and enjoy it for the holiday.
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
2 apples, peeled and thinly sliced into half-moons
Honey
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cut puff pastry into rectangles.
3. Drizzle honey directly onto the parchment in small rectangles (slightly smaller than your pastry pieces).
4. Arrange apple slices neatly over each honey rectangle.
5. Place a piece of puff pastry on top, gently pressing down.
6. Bake 18–22 minutes, until puff pastry is golden and crisp.
7. Cool for a few minutes, then carefully flip pastries upside down so the apples are on top.
Optional: Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm on their own, or top with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
