Broccoli Cheddar Pizza Pockets

Ingredients:
1 head of broccoli (cleaned, chopped up and steamed)
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups of whole milk
1 tsp ground mustard
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups grated cheese, mix of cheddar and mozzarella
Mini pizza dough (two per pizza pocket)

Directions:
Melt butter. Once bubbly, add flour and mix until forms a paste then slowly add milk, stirring until thickens. Once thick, remove from heat and add mustard, salt, pepper and cheese. Mix well then add Broccoli and combine together. Place about 1 tablespoon broccoli cheddar mixture in center of pizza dough. Top with additional pizza dough then press down around edges with a fork. Bake on 350′ for about 12 to 15 minutes or until outside is golden and slightly browned and crispy. Serve with marinara sauce.

** Tips & Tricks: You can try these other tasty combos like spinach and mozzarella, roasted red peppers and feta and tuna and muenster cheese!

    • Hi! I’m good thank GD! (getting excited for Shavuot and all the yummy cheesy food!) I find them at Glatt Mart (In L.A.) but most Kosher supermarkets should have them. You can always use regular pizza dough, rolled out and cut into smaller circles or you can make them larger. This would also work with puff pastry dough.
