The Chosen Bean {Product Review + Giveaway}

An iced coffee a day keeps that sluggish 3:00 PM feeling away. Whether it be summer or winter, I need my caffeine fix in iced form– not piping hot or close to room temperature, I need it chilled all the way. And not because I favor the slushy drink; iced coffee is my childish attempt to drown the flavor of coffee into a whole lot of milk and sugar. Because while I need coffee’s instant boost to compensate for sleep deprivation as a new mom, I really don’t like the taste of the bitter bean. Recently though I tried a refreshingly strong brew without the usual bitter aftertaste which may have just won me over. The Chosen Bean is the new kid on the block with authentic old school flavor. My husbands intern, who is a Starbucks snob, had a cup of the new brew and gave it two thumbs up for it’s rich flavor and incredible freshness.

I was intrigued when I heard about this Single Origin Coffee that claimed to be the Chosen Bean. I liked the idea that their beans come from small family run farms in remote regions of Mexico, Central and South America, Africa, Indonesia and India. Instead of traveling the long path of other beans, they are from one location and maintain their natural flavor so that when you open the package to have a cup of coffee, you know you are getting the real deal. The different blends have quirky names like “Boca Diablo” and “Solomon´s Choice” and come in nicely packaged designs that could pass themselves off as bible trading cards. So for coffee aficionados and iced coffee fans alike, this coffee is something to try. To start your collection, enter the contest below to win a FREE sample of “The Chosen Bean”
