Is a cake baking well determined by the measurements of ingredients being accurate or how long it’s baked for? People say if you follow directions exactly it should always come out, but that’s not always the case, at least not for me! ~ Mimi Minsky

You should always follow the ingredients and instructions precisely, but when it comes to baking time, everyone’s oven is a little different. You should subtract 5 minutes off cake baking time the first time you make a recipe and then check it. You can always add time, but not take it away once something is over baked.
