1 cup ricotta cheese
1 stick butter
1 8oz pkg of cream cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 cup muenster, monterey jack, or cheddar cheese, shredded
add in whatever cooked vegetable desired (broccoli, cauliflower, onions, mushrooms, etc)
1 pkg fillo dough sheets
1/2 cup milk
Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, eggs, and butter in a mixer. Add desired cooked vegetables and the shredded cheese.
Lay one sheet of fillo dough into a greased 16×8 rectangular pan. Brush with melted butter. Lay another sheet and brush that with butter. Keep layering until there are 4 sheets in the pan. Spread 1/2 of the vegetable/cheese mixture into the pan on top of the fillo sheets. Add another 4 sheets of fillo, brushing melted butter between each sheet. Spread the other half of the vegetable/cheese mixture over the second fillo layer. Layer another 4 sheets of fillo over the mixture, brushing melted butter over each layer and over the top layer.
Mix the egg and milk and pour over the pie. Prick the top layer with a fork and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
