Crunchy Tangy Tilapia Fish

My mother gave me this recipe for Tilapia fish and it has become my favorite dinner. It’s easy to prepare, tastes great and my husband loves it as well so this one is really a keeper!

Ingredients:

– Tilapia Fish
– Mayo (to cover the fish with)
– Soy sauce (just a dash or two on each fish)
– Corn flake crumbs (to cover the fish with)
– Lemon slices (sometimes I use lime as well)

Directions:

Spray a baking pan with non stick cooking spray. Put the Tilapia in the pan. Spread the mayo on the fish. Put a dash or two of soy sauce on each fish. Sprinkle the corn flake crumbs on the fish so they are all covered. Then lay the lemon slices on top of the fish. Cover with foil and bake on ‘400 for about 20-25 minutes.

  • wow that was so good, i’m not a fan of fish but i said ill give it a shot and lets just say i was very pleased thank you :)

  • Can i just put a little oil on the bottom if i don’t have the spray? Do u put ingredients on both sides of fish or only one?

    Thanks!

  • I have used some oil spread on the pan or some margarine and when I am in a rush, I don’t use anything at all. I have done it both ways, with the spread going all over the fish and at times just the top. Depends how much you want to coat it. I personally like it best when it’s just the top of the fish that has the layer of mayo and toppings otherwise I find it to be too heavy.

  • hi, i just made this tonight and it was delicious- i was just wondering how it is supposed to be crunchy if it’s cooked covered. the tilapia came out so moist, but the topping did too. thanks so much for a great website!

  • When I make it, the fish is moist and the crumbs give it a slight crunch. If you would like it more crispy then try cooking it uncovered. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
